With 10 years of experience, Yong Zhu focuses on intricate detailing and ornamental finishing. He refines the smallest elements — the curl of a cloud pattern, the layering of feathers, the expression in a creature’s eye — adding depth and authenticity to every lantern.

His main projects include the 2025 Animals Aglow (Saint Louis, MO), 2025 Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival, and the 2023 Cleveland Asian Lantern Festival.

I weave fine details into every inch — because it’s the little touches that turn a good lantern into a masterpiece.
