Juhua Yang has 10 years of experience specializing in the lamination of long dragons, zodiac animals, and flowers. Her strength lies in controlling fabric tension across extended, sweeping forms – the undulating body of a dragon, the curved petals of a large flower – ensuring that the fabric follows the structure without bunching or distorting the pattern. She also excels at pattern alignment and color separation, keeping dragon scales and zodiac fur crisp and distinct.
She has contributed to numerous international lantern exhibitions in Milwaukee, Reno, Atlanta, Palm Desert, Buffalo, Jacksonville and Fort Wayne.
The scales of a long dragon and the fur of zodiac animals — every pattern relies on fabric tension to tell its story.
