Xu Wang has 19 years of experience in core shaping and on-site artistic realization of Zigong lantern heritage. He reads a venue’s terrain, sightlines, and spatial constraints, then decides how to adjust a lantern’s stance – the tilt of a dragon’s head, the spread of a cloud, the angle of a gate tower’s roof – to achieve the best visual impact. His decisions come from decades of hand‑feeling, not from rigid blueprints.
He has contributed to numerous international lantern exhibitions in Malaysia, UK, Mexico, Australia and multiple U.S. cities like Pittsburgh, Cary and Reno.
With nearly twenty years of hand feeling, one look at the site tells me how many degrees a dragon should raise its head or where an auspicious cloud should drift.
