Linjun Yang earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from China West Normal University. With over 20 years of experience, he has contributed to lantern festivals and cultural exhibitions at Tokyo German Village in Japan, the Gaillac Lantern Festival in France, and projects in Buffalo, Oklahoma City, Des Moines, New Jersey, and numerous other locations across the United States.
His specialty is translating traditional Chinese symbolism into stories that resonate with local audiences while preserving their original cultural significance. By framing themes through narratives familiar to visitors, he helps audiences connect with the auspicious meanings embodied in Chinese lantern art.
Every cross-cultural collaboration teaches me a new way to communicate. Lanterns connect people, and I’m proud to be part of that connection.
