Since 2012, Zongyuan Lin has immersed himself in Zigong lantern culture, using creative storytelling as a vehicle for preserving and revitalizing intangible cultural heritage.

His projects include the 2012 Kunming Dianchi Never-Night City Lantern Festival, the Tianjin Gushang Spring Lantern Festival (2013–2015), the 2016 Yangcheng Lantern Festival in Shanxi, lantern exhibitions in Seattle (2021–2022), themed festivals in Stockton (2023–2024), Dallas (2024), and New York’s Magic Forest (2024–2025). He is known for uncovering the unique character of each destination and weaving local legends and cultural stories into lantern experiences.
